Captivate 5 Memory error causes crash as well as unknown exception

Captivate 5 will randomly crash and it's difficult to determine what will cause it as it seems to be several things.

It can crash when I'm manipulating graphics, at times, and other times - because it's Monday.. .

Here's the errors from my 2 crashes for today:

"unknown software exception 0xc00000fd) occurred in the application at 0x000300003"

     and

"The instruction at 0x1f4e8d55 referenced memory at "0x00000084".  The memory could not be written".

Both say to click ok to terminate or cancel to debug.  It doesn't matter which you pick, they both just close instantly.

I am running the program with files local to my PC and the file isn't too large as I'm just beginning a project and creating master slides.

(Could it be that 'rolling out' the change from the master to the other slides is causing this also).

Other days have other issues that cause it to crash.  IT just downloaded an update - that will hopefully help.  Should I uninstall and reinstall?

Will it help if IT can make me the "Admin" on the system?

Any thoughts?

I appreciate any help as it's difficult to be productive and frustrating to constantly recreate work.

Thank YOU!

You MUST run Captivate 5 with full Administrator privileges. This has been stated many times on this forum.

If you are not currently doing this, that might explain all the crashing.

Have your IT department give you full admin rights to your PC, and then make sure that you right click the Captivate icon that you use to launch the program and select the option to Run as Administrator.
