Captivate 5 Recording XP - System freezes

Hello,

A few weeks ago I used captivate 5 and had no issues.  However last week I tried to start recording and each time I try my system freezes before the Window to record menu appears.

When I bring up the task manager - I get to see that window but can not select anything.  Any ideas what might be going on?

Regards,

Dave.

Hi Dave,

Please clear Captivate 5 preferences, and then check if this issue is reprodicble.

Captivate 5 preferences are under the location: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe. Here, delete the folder called Captivate 5.

Please let me know if this works for you.

Thanks,

Sushma

Hi,

If you ever need to find that folder, you have to know that it is by default a hidden folder. So you have to tweak the settings in Explorer (Tools, Folder Options, View) to 'see' that folder.
