Captivate 5: SCORM issues and Scrolling a text in a text caption....

There seems to be a problem with when jumping slides, every slide in between is penalized if they are "added to the quiz." Which ultimately becomes a part of SCORM. I need to know how to jump slides without penalizing the slides in between, however keeping the SCORM in those slides between...

Also I just want to know how to make a scrolling text caption if that's possible instead of using buttons which jump slides, initially scrolling like my projects have been... thanks

Your question is a little difficult to understand.

What do you mean by slides being "penalised"?

Are the slides in between also quiz slides or not?

What do you mean "becomes a part of SCORM"?  All slides in a Captivate movie published as a SCO are part of that SCO.

For a scrolling text caption, try this widget: http://www.dorna.nl/?p=574

The slides in between are becoming incorrect when I jump them... say if I am on slide 1 jumping on success to slide 4, slide 2 and 3 that is counted on SCORM quiz and is counted incorrect. I need to be able to jump those slides without counting those slides incorrect because the entry in slide 1 was correct to jump to slide 4.

Another example is I have 2 buttons "Show me" and "Hint" that will go to slide 2 and slide 3 that I can access from slide 1. I have a text entry box on slide 1 that if answered correct goes to slide 4. When I jump to slide 4, slide 2 and 3 are counted incorrect on the SCORM quiz. I want to be able to jump slides without counting slides between incorrect. Those slides are published as SCORM.

Are you saying that if the user answers slide 1, they don't need to answer slides 2 and 3, so that's why you jump them to slide 4? If so, I think you need to understand that in a Captivate quiz any slide that does not get answered by the end of the quiz is automatically counted as incorrect because it wasn't answered.  Slides that you jump are still part of the overall quiz and are still taken into account in the scoring.  If they weren't answered, the learner can't be marked correct, so they're marked as incorrect.  If the learner doesn't need to get the 2 and 4 slide questions correct, set their score to 0 and untick the boxes in Quiz Properties for Report Answers.

If the intent is to enable the user to come back to those slides later (before the end of the quiz) and answer them, you'll need to enable backward movement in the quiz settings, and also make sure the Quiz Preferences > Settings > Required option is set properly.
