Question

Captivate 5 skipping certificate widget

Okay - I am going a little crazy here.  I have a simple multiple choice and true/false quiz -- only four questions. At the end of the quiz, the review quiz results slide is shown. The next step is to complete the certificate widget.  It worked great.  Then, I added a slide after the certificate widget and it still worked great.  After adding one more slide to the end, it competely skips the widget and goes to the next-to-last slide.  I remember having this problem before but can't remember how I fixed it.  If I take the last slide out, it works again. But, every  time I add it, it skips the certificate.  All settings are exactly the same as a similar quiz I had already created/published -- that quiz works fine.  Help!!

Could you check the Advanced Interaction view (F9) to see the quiz scope: is there perhaps a scored object on the last slide?

Well, I finally figured it out. It’s a strange little work around. I had to change my publishing preferences for the Quiz – I posted wiki on our Sharepoint site – should have updated here too:

When publishing a quiz with a certificate, if you include slides after the certificate, you must go to Edit/Preferences/Quiz/Pass or Fail and choose "Continue" from the If Passing Grade pull-down list. The default is "Go to next slide" which causes the certificate to be skipped altogether. I found that this only happens when two slides are added after the certificate widget.
