Captivate 5 - Unable to delete slides

I'm trying to delete multiple slides from a project I created in Captivate 5.  I applied an updated, then under preferences I selected to make my project compatible with Win 7 and I still can't delete slides from the project.  

Any suggestions?

    Maybe your project has become corrupted. 

    Try copying all slides to a new project shell of the same height and width, then try deleting the slides you don't want.

    I copied just the slides that I wanted into a new project but a blank slide was added at the beginning of the project and now I can't delete slide. 

    Any other ideas?
