Captivate 5: Unable to Preview at all.

I do not have a Captivate 5 icon to Preview at all. I cannot Preview this slide, next 5 slides, or project. I watched the webinar "Adobe 4 vs 5" and Dr. Partridge said if your screen is less than 800x600 the icon disappears off the tool bar. However, my screen is 990x690. He said you can find the command under the Edit menu. I could not find it under any menu. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Paula,

    What is the resolution of your screen? I did hear that when this is a limited one, some buttons will not show up and sorry, it is not possible to customize which buttons do show and which not.

    Hello and welcome on the forum,

    Did you find it under the File menu as Manish explains? There are also shortcut keys for previewing:

    F4 = Preview, Project

    F8 = Preview, From this slide

    F10 = Preview, next X slides

    F12 = Preview, in Browser

    F3 = Slide but that is not really a preview (no SWF is generated, will not have all the functionalities of the later movei), you can also do this by scrubbing the playhead on the Timeline

    And be sure to start Captivate as Administrator!

    Hello again Lilybiri-

    Thank you to you and Manish for your help on accessing Preview. I am using File>Preview. My followup question is:

    How can I get the Preview button on my tool bar at the top of the screen?

    Just an additional comment: the Preview button didn't show up when I first got Captivate 5 a couple months ago. Was there something wrong with the product that I should ask Adobe about? I am a novice user at this point.

    Hi There,

    you would find the option under the 'File' menu -> Preview.
