Captivate 6.1 Publish Fail

Just upgraded to Captivate 6.1 today. Go to publish (SWF/HTML5) all goes well until the final step, where I get publish fail.

I do have SCORM 1.2 as part of the export.

Have read the publish fail comments in the forums and the responses do not solve the issue.

Hello there,

What elements do you have in your project? Do you have videos? Are you publishing to both SWF+HTML5 at the same time? If so, can you try publishing it individually?

Thanks,

Vish

Thanks for replying.

I'm just publishing SWF.

No videos.

1 quiz with SCORM 1.2.

Imported animations from .ppt; some animations in Captivate 6.1

Hi all,

I'm experiencing the same, with an project created with v6.01, and saved as v6.1.

For SCORM 1.2

Publish blank & development project in HTML5 - Succesful

Publish blank & development project in SWF (any version of Flash) - Fail

Switch off SCORM 1.2 reporting

Publish blank & development project in SWF (any version of Flash) - Succesful

Publishing was succesful with 6.01

I am working in OS X 10.8.2

Can Macromedia look into providing meaningful error notifications?  "Publish failed" is frustrating.

Can I roll-back to 6.01?

Any help/pointers appreciated.

Hi jktworek,

Can you create a blank project and try to publish? Did you try publishing to either SWF/HTML5 alone and let me know if you still get publish issue?

Thanks,

Sankaram.

Yes, I can publish a blank project.

Yes, I can publish a blank project with theme added.

I'm using Captivate 6.1 for Mac.

Hi jktworek,

It looks like the issue is specific to the project? Is it possible to share the CPTX with me? You can upload it to Acrobat.com and share a link with me at sankaram at adobe dot com.

Thanks,

Sankaram.
