Captivate 6: Advanced Answer Option Missing

I am trying to give advanced answer feedback to my quiz answers, but I cannot get the Advanced Answer Option drop-down to appear in my Properties tab.  What's the trick?

Were you ever able to fix the issue with the missing Advanced Answer Option section?  I followed all instructions above as well and Advanced Answer Option is missing for only one MCQ question.  I'm running Windows 7 and Captivate 7.

What should I rename my Preferences folder to?

Name it after your favourite pet.  It doesn't really matter as long as you change it.

Where is the Preferences folder?  I can't seem to find it either.

Yes, MCQ with 1 correct answer.

When I switched to the Quizzing workspace, I lost the Question Pool tab in my Timeline/Master Slide window and the Advanced Answer option still doesn't appear in Properties.

NOTE: All my quiz questions are Random Slides in my Filmstrip view.

To see the Advanced Answer option you need to first select one of the answer captions.

This thread is interesting.

I say that because I'm facilitating a Captivate class this week and this happened with one of the participants. Methinks there is a small bug somewhere that causes this to happen. He definitely had a MCQ. Definitely had an answer selected but did NOT have an Advanced answer option. I had them all using the Quizzing workspace and I could see that his Question properties panel also appeared to be missing a couple of panels in the accordion. I was comparing with the PC beside his. Unfortunately because of time constraints we couldn't stop and pick it apart.

So this post is just to say that I've seen it. Don't know why or how it happened, but happened it did.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Advanced Answer option is only available for MCQ type of questions, with one correct answer. Is that the type you are using?

If yes, switch to the Quizzing workspace. Select one of the answers and you'll find the Advanced Answer option in the Properties panel, not in the Quiz Properties panel. In the Quizzing workspace you'll see both panels at the same time.
