Captivate 6 and weird display in Software Simulation

One of our developers did a software simulation and set the SWF Size and Quality Setting at 100% and unchecked the Advanced Project Compression and Compress SWF File options.  This software simulation had windows opening on top of each other.  When he published and played the project he had the screen behind the window in front bleed over onto the top window.  He also had drop down lists that would pop up when they were no longer suppose to be present.  The bleed over and the dropdowns didn't show up on the flimstrip just after it was published.

When he republished it at 80% with the two options selected it ran perfectly.

We are curious if anyone knows what caused this to happen at 100%?

I suggested since he only wanted the software simulation to be watched and no interactions from the student he might want to try the Video Demo option.

Some follow on to this message.

When he republished it again the SWF had the same issues with the 80% setting.  He changed the preference to unselect the checkbox for Advance Project Compression and 80% and it displayed correctly.  Can someone explain what these checkboxes actually do?

         Advanced Project Compression

         Compress SWF File

         Retain Slide Quality Settings

On another note is it true that HTML 5 only works with IE8 and higher, Safari and Chrome?  The HTML5 hasn't displayed right regardless of the settings.
