Captivate 6 Closed captioning: Save and Close buttons gone from slide audio window

I use Captivate 6. Until recently, I was able to save closed captioning changes and close the Slide Audio window using the Save and Close buttons. The last time I accessed this window, however, both of these action buttons were gone. I couldn't even close the window and had to use Windows Task Manager to close Captivate. I tried opening different Captivate files, but the same thing occurred each time. I'm wondering if the program files related to Closed Captioning have gotten corrupted somehow. I prefer not to reinstall Captivate, because I have to go through Tech Support to get it uninstalled and reinstalled. I have no administrator rights to my laptop.
