Captivate 6 Crashes

I am trying to publish a quiz in Captivate 6 in windows 8, toshiba i7 processor with 8 GB RAM.  The 32 bit software version of a trial Captivate 6.

The quiz consists of around 60 slides.  All HTML tracker issues have been resolved.  I can publish to swf, but not to swf and html.  I am looking for cross-platform useage.  The project is set for SCORM 1.2 and is to be used on a Moodle site.

As I publish, it goes through saving process and at the end, Captivate stops working correctly and shuts down.  I have spent HOURS trying different settings, but just cannot get the project to publish to HTML.

Like I mentioned, I used the HTML tracker to be sure all elements are campatible, I am at a loss.

Thanks

    Hi All,

HTML5 publish crash has been resolved in Captivate 6 patch build(6.0.1.240). Update the patch and let me know @ sankaram at adobe dot com, if you still see the issues?

    Thanks,

    Sankaram.

I didn't actually start having publishing crashes until after I installed the patch. I installed it the first day it was available... don't remember when that was.

    Anyway

It doesn't seem to be connected to the html5 publish. At first I was getting random crashes (not publishing to html5) over the last couple of weeks the crashes became more frequent. Now Captivate crashes everytime I publish (html or not).

The project publishes but crashes when I click the "ok" button on the confirmation dialog box.

Any changes made during the publish process are not saved.

If you did not delete your Preferences folder after upgrading Captivate, o that now and try again.

In Preferences > General setting try turning off anything related to compression and then republish.

Did Rod's suggestion solve the issue? I also need to be able to publish SCORM compliant output for cross-platform usage.

No I still have not been able to accomplish a successful publish.
