Question

Captivate 6 damaged my file...

I was testing v 6 for the potential of an upgrade. I downloaded a trial version and edited a project created with version 5. We have cersion 4, our vendor uses version 5. We are considering upgrading for ease of use. I worked for two days on the project and saved my work frequently. However, when I went to open my project this morning, it said the source was corrupt. I tried to rename and open it. I tried to open from the software, from the explorer. I tried the recommended db.zip recovery.nothing worked. This is very frustrating and I don't know where to go from here. I restarted the project this morning and after the third page, Captivate stopped responding. Again, all work lost.

This was the message I got when I tried to open the original, the copied version and the db.

Could you check if you find a 'cplock' file somewhere with the same name as the original file? If yes, delete that file.
