Published a pptx with audio to a swf - screen fills up black and nothing happens. Have restarted and published multiple times. Was able to publish as a video but need the .swf or .html. I have other presentations with no audio that publish fine. Tried to turn off compression and optimize the slides but doesnt work. Still black screen.

When you first imported these PPT slides into Captivate, did you import using the High Fidelity option?

High Fidelity was not checked when I imported the file.

My information is that this is what you need to do to get a better result.  Try a quick test import of the same PPT with High Fidelity on and then publish to see if the same slides show black again.
