Captivate 6 Remediation issue

Hi,

I have created a file in Captivate 6 with the 'Return to Quiz' feature. This file has some graphics, interactions and audio files in it. On the content slide I have created two Next buttons, with one Next button assigned to Go the next slide and the other to Return to Quiz. After a few slides, i gave the question slide. And, to the Submit button, on Failure level 1, I gave the Advanced action to:

  • jump to the content slide and
  • hide the button that advances to the next slide

The same file, when previewed from my colleague's system (even he has Captivate 6 installed) is working fine. But when I preview it from my system, I am able to go to the content slide, but the button that is assigned to Go to the next slide is not getting hid. It is visible. Whereas, when I looked from colleague's system, the button to the next slide is getting hid and only the one assigned to Return to Quiz is visible.

I have tried doing the following:

  • cleared the cache, reset my preferences by running the .bat file and even copying those slides on a new project.
  • Replicated this feature on another project file, a smaller one, with audio and graphics (was not working)
  • created a file with just a few slides with only content, without any graphics or audio or master slide(it was working fine there)

I have flash player 10 installed in my system .

Please help me fix this issue.

    Hi there,

Make sure, that Captivate complete version should be 6.0.1.240 or 6.1.0.319 (help > about Adobe Captivate).

Instead of prviewing the project, can you Publish the project, with Flash player 10 selected, and check 'Force republish' option. Then view that in a browser.

    Thanks

A very important point! I have Captivate Version 6.0.0.199 installed, whereas my colleague has 6.0.1.240 installed.

But other than that, I tried checking the 'Force republish' option, selecting Flash player 10, publishing the project and viewing the output in a browser, to no avail.

You have to install the bug patch released in October 2012, please! It is totally free.
