Captivate 6 slow to move through slides

Captivate 6 is very slow when clicking from slide to slide; when on the question slide and clicking the submit button; when clicking correct click anywhere to continue... It's all slow!! I have to click several times before the projects moves to the next slide.   Running on IE 11, Windows 7, project has 72 slides (which includes a screen recording).

I have cleared the Cache, closed Captivate (and my laptop), started again but it has made no difference.  I see this problem was raised back in July 2012 and it was not answered!!  My organisation continue to use Cap 6 (no upgrade option is available).

Please advise as I do not want to go down the option of re-building the project from scratch...

    Are you talking about when you test your published content locally from your own hard drive, or are you referring to when your content has been published to your LMS and it's being accessed from there?

    I can appreciate that many organisations are strapped for cash right now but quite frankly remaining with a Captivate version as old as yours is false economy. The current Cp version is head and shoulders better than Cp 6 and the HTML5 capabilities are certainly much improved. 

    You should also inform your company that when they do finally upgrade to the latest version of CP they might find that it will not open and upgrade their CP6 project files because they're just too old.  That's going to be potentially a LOT more expensive than the cost of the software upgrade.
