Question

Captivate 6: When publishing as Flash, master template invisible

We are using Captivate 6.0.1.240

From today on, we have a strange effect when publishing our courses as flash10 SWF:

The courses seem to be exported ok, except:

The master layers (where we have placed a background bitmap) do not display.

Furthermore: A page number widget (from the captivate gallery) which is placed

on the master template is shown at the top left corner, instead at its correct position

on the bottom right.

This is not bug associated to just the file we are working on today; ALL our production

files show the same erratic behaviour when we re-publish it today.

How can we fix this? (we have a deadline to meet tomorrow) - pleas HELP

Best regards

    Hi ,

    Welcome to Adobe Forums!

Please try publishing again with a different name , also make sure that you are publishing to a local drive.

Try switching the browser to view the content and see if it makes any difference.

    Thanks

    Himanshu

    Hi Himanshu

Thanks. Unfortunately none of these help.

As Captivate is not network-capable during productin process we do always work locally.

Viewing the published results (Flash 10, or 11, with or without option to force re-publishing of all slides) shows the same results on all browsers.

It is not a local Flash-Plug-in problem, as older courses created from the exactly(!) same CPTX file are okay.

Renaming the CPTX file or the publishing file has no effect.

    Any more ideas?

    Cheers, Alex.

We have now deleted the captivate settings (in users->app data->...) to reset all captiate settings.

We have updated Flashplayer from 15,0,0,167 to 15,0,0,189.

    No improvement.

Captivate keeps publishing all ever created CPTX files without the master template screens, when exporting as Flash 10 or 11.

(however when exporting as HTML5 the master templates appear; but HTML5 is not usable fr other reasons).

We are desperate, facing our deadline today. Who can give us support?

(I just can't imagine what our custmer will say, when we have to admit that due to Adobe Captivate we cannot roll out...)

    cheers

    Alex
