Captivate 7.01 patch and Mavericks - update suppressed

I'm trying to install the Captivate 7.01 patch and I am on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks.  I followed the instructions http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2013/11/announce-adobe-captivate-7-0-1-update-with-support-for-os-x-mavericks-now-available.html and downloaded directly from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/captivate/downloads.html.  I'm getting a message saying Update Failed – Please contact your administrator if you wish to apply updates on your machine.  Updates have been suppressed by the administrator.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello Lisa,

Welcome to Adobe Forums!

Go to the  location: <Startup Disk>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat

and change the value in Suppressed tag to be 0

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    <Preferences>

    <Suppressed>0</Suppressed>

    </Preferences>

If in case this does't works then you may need to reinstall Captivate on your computer.

Thanks and Regards

I'm very sorry, in that case, I don't know what happens. And I'm using a PC myself.
