Captivate 7/8 Video Demo mp4 file not playing Video on WIndows Media Player

I created a Video demonstration using Captivate 7 and then Captivate 8. I published to my computer as an mp4 file. When I go to play the MP4 file on WIndows Media player the audio is playing but not the video. My settings look fine.

I did get it to work when I loaded as content to Adobe Connect. The audio and video play with no issues. Could this be a WIndows Media player issue? This just started happening.

I was able to get in touch with Adobe Support. They had me try on the Video Publish settings to change the Preset from Custom to YouTube Widescreen HD. That seemed to resolve the issue and the mp4 now plays in WIndows Media Player

I think the problem is your video, this mp4 file is not compatible with windows media player. You can try to convert your mp4 file to wmv file to play with windows media player. If it also can not play correct, that is the windows media player's problem.

To convert mp4 file you can get freeware to do like Format factory(Format Factory Home Page - Free media file format converter)

    Or you can get a free-to-try shareware like mp4 converter(Firecoresoft MP4 Converter - Easily Convert MP4 to/from Any Video)
