Question

Captivate 7 images not displaying

I have a base image on my stage, then at various times bring in additional images and animations to display on the stage alongside the base image. When in the timeline (edit) view the images display as desired. When I preview the slide the images and animations do not display at all. All images are marked as "visable".  What am I doing wrong? Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Thanks!

Is it possible that you have some sort of pause object before the images appear in the timeline?

This would explain why you see them in edit mode but not when previewing.

Have been asking for a screenshot of the timeline already, but no way...

Yes the "Continue" button i placed on the stage was pausing all the images. When I moved it to the end of the timeline, the images played perfectly. I figured this out from reading related posts on this forum.

Hello and welcome,

Which preview do you use? Because playing a slide (F3 or with the play button on the timeline) is not a real preview.

'Visible': where did you check it, on the Timeline with the eye icon it is just hiding for editing purposes. Real visible (on preview, after publishing) are objects only if 'Visible in output' is checked in their Properties panel.

I used the preview function called “From this slide” from the top of the page (see attached image).

The setting “visual in output” is set in the properties dialog.

Still not working. The images don’t display if I preview from the beginning of the project either.

Be careful: you showed a lot of personal information.

Very strange problem. You see the images on the stage?
