Captivate 7 Trial Expired - Can I go back to Captivate 6?

Hello,

I am a Captivate 6 user who recently downloaded the Cap. 7 trial.  It has expired, and I am not upgrading at this time.  I have some Cap. 6 files from another company that I need to download, but every time I do they open in Cap. 7. If I try to save the files on my machine, I get the error saying if I save this file it will be converted to Cap. 7 and I will not be able to go back once I do that.  I have deleted all Cap. 7 files I can see on my machine, but do I need to do something else to uninstall Cap. 7?

Any help or guidance to what I am doing wrong is very appreciated!

Hello and welcome,

Why don't you uninstall Captivate 7? Or instead of double-clicking a CP6-file to open, first open Captivate 6 and open the file in the application (is often better practice, avoids issues).

Thank you!  I will uninstall Captivate 7.  I have never downloaded the trial and not purchased the upgrade, so I thought it just went away after I decided not to this time.  I really appreciate your quick response!
