Question

Captivate 8

I have two questions.

1. Using the Drag and Drop feature, How do I tell Captive to leave correct drops in place and only reset incorrect drops when Incorrect resets the activity in Unlimited attempts?

2. I have a .swf file that plays by itself fine. When I upload it to captivate 8, the screen goes "White" without controls. If I try it to open in an external window, the background shows up, trigger (Menu items) highlight when rolled over, but nothing else works to include Audio, animations, and on-screen text. The .xml is captured within the published Captivate zip file. Any ideas?

About your first question: that is not possible with the way the drag&drop is designed. You can use the object actions to give some indication but Reset will always reset all drag sources.

As for the second question: how was the SWF created?

    Lilybiri,

The swf file was created by a contractor and I do not have the FLA file to confirm. Other swf files from this contractor had issues, but I was able to removed the "Stop/Play" actions in the FLA to get them to work in Captivate. Semed like there was a conflict between the actions within the .swf and the Autoplay in Captivate. This particular file is the main display that runs from a .xml file. I have been able to update lesson content in the .xml and it works externally as a swf stand-alone. My problem is that it will not function when associated/linked to Captivate 8 which is the required delivery format. Is this waht you meant?

Difficult to answer, because you have no details about the SWF-file. Some developers still use AS2 which is not supported in Captivate since version 5.
