Question

Captivate 8/Audio Video

Using captivate 8 I created a video and published as both a event video and a multislide sync video

When adding the video to an existing project, the event video did not bring in the player controls I selected from the published video. It shortened the player controls to only play, pause and stop. I had selected many other controls for the player- play, forward, rewind, closed captioning etc

When I added the video that was published as a multislide sycn video the audio did not come in when I added the video to an existing project. The video played but not the audio

Any suggestions for how to get my player controls from the published video to appear when I add it to an existing project and to the get the audio to play if I add as a multislide sync video

You are confusing the global Captivate playbar with the dedicated control panel that gets inserted for an event video, or did I misunderstand?

Multisynchronized video is controlled by Captivate, event video is independent on Captivate.

Can you try to recode the movie to MP4 using the Adobe Media Encoder packed with Captivate  (think it is CS6). MP4 is a very global name, maybe the used codec was not amongst those supported by Captivate.
