Captivate 8 - dimming text

Hi there,

I'm new to Captivate 8 (and Captivate in general!) and I'm wondering how I can dim text.  I have say, 5 text boxes on one slide, all with different entry times & all lasting the entire length of the slide.  I would like the first bullet point to fade, but still be legible as we move on to the next bullet and so on.

Is this possible?

Thanks so much!

Hayley

    Hi there

I can think of a couple of ways you might achieve it.

    1. Configure an effect that would apply a tint to the caption to make it change color. Perhaps giving the illusion it's fading.

    2. Stage another caption with the faded color you want so it overlays and covers the original caption.

Okay, thanks Rick That's what I was originally thinking - I just thought there might be a simpler way.

    Thanks!

    yeah, it's not PowerPoint!

But having said that, I see no reason the development team might borrow from things like this that actually can make it a better tool.
