Question

Captivate 8 does not detect Character files in eLearning Assets and will not insert them via the Media>Image route.

thank you..unfortunately I have failed to open the images with available editors on mac and I am now stuck with this useless junk of images that are not usable

    You have to insert them with Media, Characters, not with Media, Images.

    They are not meant to be edited, but you can open them with a graphical editor once they are in the Captivate Library. You can see that I have done this with the sticky cartoon images in the CP-movie here:
