Captivate 8 - Drag and drop not working in flash version

Hi there,

I have a non-responsive project that I have published in both SWF and HTML5. The drag and drop interactions don't work in the SWF but work perfectly in the HTML5 version.

Works fine in preview (I am assuming preview is the HTML5).

I have published other modules with no issues it's just affecting this one. The only thing that I can think of that is different with this module is that I have timed some of the drag source objects to come on at different intervals to match the voice over.

Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Thanks

T

The way to go in that case is to use two slides, have the D&D on the second slide. You can set it up so that the user will not even feel that content is spread over two slides. I found that to be the best workaround if you don't want all target and drag objects from the start of the slide, which is indeed required for the built in D&D interaction.

Preview is NOT the same as HTML5.

Try uploading your content to a web server and then test from there.  If the issue is still present, try having all of your drag and target objects start from the very beginning of your slide.  I have seen issues with widget-based drag and drop interactions where this was necessary for everything to work because the widget needs to see all the objects present and accounted for at the beginning of the slide otherwise it throws and error.  So maybe the Adobe Captivate built in drag and drop functionality works the same way.

I tried duplicating one of the slides and then setting all the objects to start from the start and that works... Ideally I would like to find a solution though as it for kids and spells out words so having the letters come on screen as they are sounded out is preferable.
