Captivate 8 & editing with Microsoft powerpoint

With my Captivate 8 In the last few weeks, when I attempt to edit with Microsoft powerpoint, I am unable to do so.  The slide opens but I cannot add or modify content.  I can only delete content.  How do I fix this?
