Captivate 8: Feedback messages not showing after publish

I have a multiple choice question and the answers have the Advanced Answer Option turned on, as well as the option to Show Feedback Message. When I preview in Captivate, either the project or In Browser, it works as desired, so that if a user chooses an incorrect answer, they get a feedback message and retry until they choose the correct answer and can move on.

After publishing, when a learner chooses and incorrect answer and clicks Submit, there are no feedback messages and there are is no Retry message (even though Retry Message is checked as well). Nothing happens. The only feedback comes when the learner chooses the correct answer, and they get a message that shows the answer is correct.

This is a huge surprise and needless to say a real pain in the neck.  Any suggestions? From what I can tell this is a huge bug.

This is not part of a question pool.

I am publishing with both SWF and HTML5 output formats, with Force re-publish on all slides chosen as well as Scalable HTML content.

Edit: To add another layer of perplexity, I unchecked the Scalable HTML content checkbox and republished. It asks me "Do you wish to view the output?" I click Yes, and it works as designed. I'm seeing that when it shows me the output, it is using the course_title.html file and not the index.html file. When I upload to the web server for people to view, I have always pointed to index.html. Am I to point them to the other html file? Can I rename that file and still have it work? I've never had to point to a file other than index.html before.

Since you are publishing to both SWF and HTML, you have to use the Multiscreen.html file to launch the course.

index.html is for the HTML5 output. The course_title.htm file is to launch the SWF output.  Are you publishing to both outputs or only intend for users to use one or the other?

The issue with Scalable HTML interfering with the feedback is a known issue, but feel free to report it as a bug.
