Captivate 8 hangs

For whatever reason, captivate 8 just stops installing. Even before I log file is created , I check the options I want installed, click INSTALL and it just sits , and that's all it does.  These machines have a lot build into the software load such as Bit 9 and we are on a sus server to keep us up-to-date on  patches. Licenses codes are vaild, connection to the internet is not the issue. I have heard of those issues around our company where the install will hang like mine, then all of a sudden, after 1/2 hour, install without issue. None of the other captivate releases had this issue, but without even having a log file to go on, im lost.  I can cntl-alt-del anytime and stop the still running installation.
