Captivate 8: Image Fade in/out options

Captivate 8: If I recall correctly, in older versions of Captivate, a developer could click on an image and then select Fade in/out options. I'd like to fade in/out images for a smoother appearance. Please assist.

Also, can I make individual lines of a bullet caption come in separately with audio. I know this is possible with Articulate and thought it was with Captivate, but can't seem to do this either.  Thanks.

Hi, I've been using Captivate for over 10 years (Robo demo) and I too have just "lost" the timing tab/panel.

Don't ask me how, it just disappeared.

I couldn't find the word "timing" in the windows menu either.

I did however look for Windows > Workspace > Reset Classic (or Classic drop down in top right corner)

Presto! Timing tab/panel back. .  .

I guess reset workspace is good if you accidentally move stuff around / undock panels etc . .

Good luck

My "Timing" tab like to hide all the time for some reason.  Until this issue is fixed, here's the super fast workaround.

It is Yes to your first question. Transitions are in the Timing panel now.

It is No to your second question, Captivate has never been able to have bullets come in separately. You need to have each bullet in a separate Text Caption (or shape) and stagger them on the timeline. That will also allow to attach audio to each caption (or shape)

Meanwhile, this just in from the "another way to skin a cat" department...

Another way you could accomplish the bullets would be to have them all in one caption, then cover the caption with Highlight Boxes (or Shapes for those that get all twitterpated over being able to say "shape")

Then adjust the timing such that the objects disappear and reveal the next bullet.

Cheers... Rick

Sure, Rick, have even more ideas (masquerade component of InfoSemantics is what I use most. Indicated first solution because of the audio synchronizing, seems easier with different objects.
