Captivate 8 - Learning Interactions have disappeared?

I am using Captivate 8 on a PC. For some reason some of my learning interactions have disappeared, specifically the jigsaw puzzle and the certificate. Any suggestions? I have restarted my computer but that didn't solve the issue. They were both working fine this weekend but have disappeared.

I need to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Please let me know what I can do.

Thanks,

Edith

    Hi Edith,

Do you know how the Learning Interactions are used? When you open the dialog box (with the Big Button 'Interactions', Learning Interactions) you are navigated to a copy in Public Documents: The original Learning interactions are in the installation folder of Captivate, Gallery. You could try this:

    1. Close Captivate
    2. Browse to Public Documents to this path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets
    3. You'll see a folder 'Interactions_8_0'
    4. Delete that folder
    5. Restart Captivate, a new copy of the original folder will be created

Can you tell if you now see the missing interactions?

Another way to insert a learning interaction is to use the menu Insert, Widget. Then browse to either the Public folder or to the original folder in the Gallery. More info about Learning Interactions in my blog post: Tips - Learning Interactions - Captivate blog

Great advice. It worked perfectly to me on Captivate 9.
