Captivate 8 - Not Working On Older Versions Of Internet Explorer

Hi All,

I'm a bit of a newbie so apologies if this is a stupid question.

I recently bought Captivate 8 and I've created a new project which is just a simple slide that has a video that I require people to watch.

We've uploaded it to our LMS (which is SAP Success Factors) and some people get an error message as they are using older versions of Internet Explorer (7&8).

Is there a way that I can either re-design or publish differently to enable them to use this?

Thanks in advance,

Shaun.

    Any update on this question?

I'm also using Captivate 8 and have published as SCORM 1.2 but one of my testers has found that the course will not play in IE 8. The "Loading" icon shows but the course does not start playing. The course works fine in IE11.  I have not heard back from those testing in IE9 and IE10.  Any information that you may have found would be really helpful.

    Thanks, Steve

Are you publishing as HTML5 output? If so, that would explain the error message.  IE7 or 8 won't work with that output.  Just publish for SWF and HTML not HTML5.

I am also having issues with publishing my course to the LMS we use (Latitude Learning). If I publish it just as HTML5, it works in Chrome, but says it's not supported in IE. If I publish it as HTML5/SWF (I don't see an option to publish as just HTML), a window pops up, but it's just a gray box with the course name at the top of the window. I tested it in SCORM cloud, and it worked perfectly. Is there a way to get the course to work in both browsers? I have also emailed the support team at the LMS to see if it's a problem on their end.
