I'm not entirely familiar with this application but if I understand it enough it is a sophisticated 3D architectural application that can render models of entire buildings. My guess is that it probably uses up a lot of your system resources. Unfortunately, Adobe Captivate can be very taxing with regards to system resources as well. The fact that you are running two such applications at the same time might be too much for your system.

Be sure that you are running Adobe Captivate with administrator rights turned on. This is particularly important when capturing software simulations.

  1. Right click on the actual application icon and select properties.
  2. From the there select the Compatibility tab and check off 'Run this program as an administrator,' If this isn't available to you, you may have to reach out to your IT department for their assistance with this.

Also be sure to clear out your Captivate cache to give yourself as much free space as possible.

  1. From Captivate without a project open press Shift + F8
  2. Navigate to General Settings
  3. Press the Clear Cache button

This will clear out the remnants of previous projects and give you lots of free space to work with.

If you don't have any luck getting Software Simulations to work, you can always resort to Video Demos. There are no interactive elements like their potentially can be with Simulations but you certainly can create a Video suitable for YouTube or embedded into another eLearning project.

Here is a video I created that shows how to use that feature:

For some software applications you cannot successfully use automatic capture and may need to use manual capture instead.
