Captivate 8 Published File - Blank Screen, Dead Playbar

I published a captivate 8 file, and all I see is a blank screen with a dead Playbar. It's not a problem of the Preloader setting. Doesn't work whether the Preloader percentage is set to 100% or 10%. Any idea how to resolve this?

That's the problem. Show Playback Control is checked off. But individual options show up as deactivated or grayed out. So there's no way to check them off in the Skin Editor.

Do you have any Pretest question slides or do you have Branch Aware turned on in Quiz Settings?  That will disable the playbar.

Not very much information to go on here. Something may have gone wrong with the original publishing. Try publishing again and see if you get a different result.

Published many times over. Getting the same result. Didn't have this problem until yesterday. It started sometime today after I added some quiz questions.

Well that's more information that might help you troubleshoot this problem. Try performing a "save as..." sometimes a save as (in other words saving the project as an entirely new file) will clean up any junk in the old file. It's not much but worth trying as it has sometimes worked for me.

If that doesn't work try deleting items that you created since yesterday one by one until it publishes correctly. Once it publishes correctly you should have a good idea of the item that is causing the problem. Delete that item and recreate. My guess is that you will have solved your problem through process of elimination.

    Best of luck.
