Captivate 8 Publishing isssue: Bug or Settings?

One of the Captivate developers I support has an issue when publishing.  The course  launches from our LMS and  Citrix Server, but will not launch from Safari when using a deep link on ipads.  The course just shows a black screen no pre- loader , no error message.   When I publish the same cptx there is no problem.  I looked at her publish folder and the Date Modified are askew.  The xsd's are dated 2/3/2012, browsersniff.js 11/10/2011.  The css and the other js files are also off.  My publish folder has them all synced up.  I am not sure if these two issues are related, but I have narrowed it down to her machine causing the issue on ipads.   Do anyone know what to change in her settings or has her Captivate become corrupt?  We only see the issue on Safari.

I am a bit confused by your question: are you talking about viewing a published CP-file on an iPad? On iPad you cannot have Captivate installed, you can only have Captivate Draft as an app, but that is for CP9 only. If you are talking about someone having issues publishing, and reading about the 'published folder' points to that, it is perfectly possible that the Preferences of Captivate are corrupted. In that case run the CleanPreferences file, fitting with the OS, which you can find in the subfolder 'utils' of the Captivate installation folder. Captivate has to be closed while running that file. Clear the cache as well.

    Thanks,

The course fails to  launch on ipads using a link to our LMS, but only when she publishes it.  So I will try the CleanPreferences file.  That's what I was asking for.   I will clear the cache as well

    Thanks !!!

Check the version numbers on your own Cp8 version and her Cp8 version.

There have been two minor updates for Cp8, one of them just recently.

If you have all updates, this is the version numbering you should see:
