Hi Everyone,

After importing pictures into Captivate the images are horrible, I import high res pictures and on the other end there is a undistiguable mass of pixels and colors, almost not readable! WHYYY? it is most likely a setting but I cant find it....

other projects I have done is not the same

Input images are 1280*768

My responsive course are 1024*768

I would be forever greatful for help in this matter

If at least you would have been on Captivate 9, I would have recommended to replace those bitmap images by SVG's which would certainlt have been possible for your type of images.

Moreover I don't understand why you talk about the 'size' of a responsive project? You have at least 3 Breakpoint views, each with its screen resolution/size.

Hi Lilybiri, thanks for your response, for me learning Captivate is trial and error, there has been a lot of errors this summer! the youtube guides are quite ok but, the more you learn about captivate you realize there is many ways to do it... My captivate skills are... basic I would say. what I mean with size is that the screen I want to design the project in is 1024x768, this should fit most users overhere today.

thanks for taking time to answer this!!

Best regards

Peter

I am not a big fan of video tutorials because very often essential info is missing and you will rarely get tips for good practice nor troubleshooting. Try to master the three skills I explained in this article, will help:

If you want the sharpest resolution for images, don't rescale them at all (which is what responsive courses are going to do anyway).

Capture your images at exactly the size you need to display them.

Hi RodWard, sounds like a very straight forward idea!! ill go for that!

Next problem :-) how to automize downscaling of 50 images without any advanced SW..... ill have to google that :-)

Thanks for taking time to answer this matter!!

Best Regards...
