Captivate 8: Self-paced learning without TOC visible?

Hi Experts!

I'm working with Captivate 8 and users are accessing my content without an LMS.  I'd like to enable bookmarking so the learner can pick up where they left off when they exit and later return to the module.  I know this can be achieved with a visible TOC and Self-Paced Learning selected, but I'd like to find out if it is possible without the TOC being visible. Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Jeff

Correct answer Lilybiri

I suspect, not sure, that it is also functional when the TOC is not visible. If you want to be sure: show the TOC in overlay, and replace the default open button (two arrows) by a transparent shape. That way, the user will not even see that there is a TOC, will not be able to open it.

Hi Lilybiri,

Thanks for the response- I enjoy your blog! In the testing I've done, it looks to be functional only with a visible TOC. Did you mean cover the open button with a opaque shape (non-transparent)? Or does a transparent shape offset the overlay somehow?

Thanks so much!

Oops, I misunderstood. You clearly said replace.  This works great, thanks!
