Captivate 8 - Sound Not Working in Preview

I've just made updates to a file, with updated slides and audio.  The audio for some, but not all, of the updated slides does not play in preview Project mode.  It does play when using the play button on the timeline, and the timeline audio icon is not set to mute.  It does play the sound when using preview In Browser.  However, I need to review the project, using Next # Slides, as it is a large project.  Using the preview in Browser takes too much time & is cumbersome.  Please help.

    Make sure audio clips are separate to each individual slide, and not spread across multiple slides.  That could be interfering with playback.

    Ensure there is a slight gap between the audio clip and the beginning and end of the slide timeline.

    Just FYI: the timeline audio button has no effect whatsoever on audio when published, it just affects the audio when you use Play Slide (or use the control buttons in the timeline panel).
