Captivate 8 - Tracking Users via LMS

My customer would like to know if it's possible to track how many people have taken a quiz and, more specifically, how many people took it and failed, and how many took it and passed?

Without entering the realm of expertise (please keep it simple and not too technical) - is there a way to do this?

I am far too green at scripting to attempt advanced actions with an LMS, but if this is possible I can pass this task along to others who are capable.

The functionality you are asking about is typical a LMS functionality, not something that is done in Captivate. Tracking number of users, score of the users, fail/pass for the users and answers are all transmitted to the LMS which should be able to report those data. Be sure to set up Reporting in Captivate, choosing the correct SCORM version. The published output, which is called a SCO, has all what is needed to transfer the data to the LMS. No advanced actions are necessary.
