Captivate 8 will not install successfully

I've just downloaded the installer for captivate 8. It doesn't complete the installation (exit code 6) and cannot install the 3rd party maths thingy for captivate.

Although a captivate shortcut appears the software stops working before it can load.

How do I fix this?

    Hi There,

    Have you ever installed Captivate on this machine earlier ? It is quite possible that Math Magig for Captivate is already installed from previous install. Can you search for it in Windows search and see if Math Magic is already installed?

    Hi Mayank,

    Math Magic is not installed already. I've tried uninstalling captivate and re-installing but I get the same problem...

    Any other ideas?
