Captivate 8 windows not displaying once I launch on a Mac.

When I launch Captivate 8 on my mac, I see the application come up but when I try to

Launch a Blank project or

Launch an existing project

I never see it. I can see the Captivate toolbar at the top. So it is opening but I can't see the actual project to do any work.

Which iOS version? El Capitan is not compatible with CP9, so I would be astonished if it is with CP8.
