Captivate 8 wont work on Mac

I have downloaded the trial version of Captivate on my MacBook (OSX 10.10.1) but the software wont start.

It gives me the starting screen that says: Loading.... then nothing happens.

any ideas how to solve this?

    Hi There,

    I am suspecting this to be a problem with fonts. If your Captivate stuck on Loading screen, probably, you can try removing all third party fonts from your machine and keeping only the Fonts used by your OS.

    You will find the fonts here --\Library\Fonts

    Before, doing this, just to confirm, the problem is not specific to corrupted preferences/account settings, create a New User Account, log in to that and Launch Captivate from there.

    same thing happened to me, i found I had to reinstall and then it seemed to work.  Since then I've had all sorts of problems though, random crashes etc.
