Captivate 9.0.1 - web object z-order

I have just updated my Captivate 9 to the latest version (9.0.1.320) and was quite excited to see one of our main issues mentioned in the release notes (web objects always going to top layer).

Having now tested this latest version, I still find that no matter what, web objects appear at the top when published and nothing can be placed above them (smartshapes, images). The only thing you can place over a web object, is another web object.

I guess I'll have to keep waiting for this to be fixed.

Anyone else managed to overcome this issue?

    Hi,

    Can you try the following steps:

    1. Go to your installation folder, copy AdobeCaptivate.ini (first take a back-up of this)

    2. Paste it to your Desktop

    3. Open the file and change the value of UseWidget7 from 0 to 1

    4. Save this, copy it and replace it in your installation directory

    NO I DON'T

    ok, now I tested it. The website is basically turned into an image, so we can't navigate. Any ideas why?

    In some browsers you lose interactivity once you push it back.

      Thanks for the info! I'll redesign it so there is no overlap on top of web object.

      I updated to 9.0.2.437

      and changed the AdobeCaptivate.ini

      thank you!

      Did you reset your Preferences folder after the update install, and re-insert the Web Objects with new ones from the updated version?

      Thanks for the reply.

      I followed the steps to clear my preferences from the Release Notes webpage after you mentioned it.

      I then went and created a brand new project and imported my webobject (zip created in Flash/Animate). Unfortunately the webobjects are still top layer no matter what.
