Captivate 9.0.2 Free Assets

I just downloaded and installed the new Captivate build 9.0.2. I immediately went to assets and was able to load my assets, and Adobe Stock assets, but the free assets will not load. The eLearning Brothers assets worked fine in my previous version and their character sets are critical for my projects. Has anyone else had this problem, and have a solution? I don't believe it is an IT issue as it worked fine yesterday, but obviously this assumption could be wrong. Thanks!

Hi Matt,

I had the same problem - just showed a grey screen.

I cleared Cache, and Preferences and it worked.

NB: If you've saved any Preferences and have projects cached - you need to search the forum to see how to save them.

(I didn't)

Regards

Donal.

Fresh install on a new machine, cleared the cache, etc. - I'm still just seeing a blank white window on the "Get Free eLearning Assets" tab.

UPDATE: I just got it to work on a different machine logged in from home. I cleared my cache, still didn't work when loading an older project. Cleared the cache and then started a new project, then I spun around three times and clapped my hands, and it worked. I guess that's what did the trick. I recommend adding that to the release notes.

Hi All,

I was getting the same issue and after clearing the Cache and preferences I still had a problem. But if I have just read the release notes I would have not had a problem. Point 2. is the one I did not do correctly. Once I deleted the Sample project and the interactions ( after backing up) I did not have a problem. All OK now

This has been posted so often to the forum: Please, read the release notes! No one does and every upgrade, patch this type of issues that could have been easily avoided appear again.

If you want to keep customisation (which is mostly stored in the Preferences) and if you have put your custom themes with the other default themes, I described a way to keep all custom items in this blog post. It has also a link to a very elaborate blog post by my friend Michael Lund (cpguru) who repeats again what you have to do when installing a patch like this one:
