I can download it, I can install it, when I launch it, it stays open for 5 or 6 seconds then closes? HELP!

    Are you launching as administrator (if you are on Win)? Did you have a previous version installed?

    yes I am administrator, I even tried to instal in safe mode...... I have Captivate 8 installed as well as that is all I can use to get my work done. do you think I should uninstall it?

    Being the Administrator of your computer is NOT the same as launching an application with Run As Administrator privilege.  You need to research what this means.  It could be the reason Captivate 9 is not working for you.
