I am trying to figure out something, I have a Captivate 9 subscription. Am I correct in thinking my subscription for Captivate 9 can be updated to Captivate's latest version?

Hi Marquita,

Yes, I have done this myself.  When the time comes that you think about removing previous versions, think about any clients for whom you have done work in an earlier version. Especially if they have their own internal team and have contracted out to you for a project, they may not have upgraded - and therefore still want you to make any changes in an earlier version.  I've currently got 8, 9, and 10 (aka 2017) on my desktop.  I'm really not doing that much work in 8 anymore, but I have a client who is working with 9, and I have to remember to open up their file with the right Captivate version.  I inadvertently tried to open it with Captivate 2017 - and caught myself before I made any changes. Fortunately Captivate provides a warning box letting you know that if you save to the newest version, you will not be able to open it in a previous one.

Hope this helps you in your Captivate endeavours.

Yes you are correct. If your subscription is current you are fully licenced for 2017 release. You can even keep the previous version if you need to. Download the trial and install it. Once you sign in with your Adobe ID it should validate your eligibility and you should be okay to go.
