Captivate 9 and microphone levels

Hi,

I'm Recording a Video Demo in Captivate 9 and the microphone levels (in audio device properties panel) reset to very low when I hit record in Captivate, thus the sound is really hard to hear. Same happens if I hit record audio. In Other programs the microphone works fine, levels stay at what I have set them.  What's going on and how can I fix it?
