Captivate 9 and VMWare Horizon client

Good afternoon,

I have searched the forum, and could only find a six year old conversation that was never followed up on... so I am asking today in hopes of finding an answer...

Is there a work-around for getting Captivate to reliably record simulations via a VMWare Horizon client terminal?  I have Captivate 9 on my computer, and am accessing the software I am supposed to be creating simulations from via VMWare.  However, it never records my typing, it frequently misses screens it should have recorded, in all, has become very unreliable.

Does anyone have any recommendations for improving performance in this setting?

In some situations or with some applications Captivate does not detect the screen events that trigger it to take a screen capture.  Your best option is simply to switch to doing manual captures, keeping your 'trigger finger' over the top of whichever key you have assigned for manual captures.

The default key is the PrintScreen key on the keyboard. But since I'm right handed and that key is on the same side as my mouse, I set the F2 key as the one I use.  That way even when using the mouse I can hit the F2 key with my left hand any time I need to perform a quick capture.

Thank you RodWard.  I was distinctly trying to avoid having to do that, but it does look like the only alternative when working with VMware.  I have been unable to find any way around it, despite looking through all of the key players' websites and forums.  What a pain!
