Captivate 9 - Blured sensitive in video demo

Is there a way to blur sensitive information in a video demo?

Not so easy as in a normal cptx project. Either you publish to mp4 and use a full-blown video editor (like Premiere Pro or After Effects), or you can put a static object (like a shape) on top of that portion where you want the information be covered. That could be a semi-transparent shape, or maybe put some dummy characters in it to cover the original text? That second work flow is possible in the Video Demo editor, no need for another application.

That is very strange that they did not put that into Captivate 9 - I know that People has been asking for it since - forever ...

There were no changes to Video Demo feature in CP9, wonder if it is used a lot? I see many tutorials on YouTube created with Video XPress (coming with Presenter) but very few created with Captivate Video Demo. That could explain why this feature has not gotten new features. I also regret a lot that it is not possible to edit the raw file (cpvc) in Premiere Pro, but only the published MP4.

In Captivate SWF output it is still possible to add a blur effect to objects added to a slide.  But these particular effects are not compatible with HTML5 output and to even find them at all you have to go to the Timing tab > Effects section, click the folder beside the Applied Effect's list, then navigate down to: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x64\Gallery\Other Effects\Color Effect

There you will finally find a Blur effect.
