Captivate 9 "bugs and glitches"

Hi Everyone,I need some assistance with trouble shooting some issues in Captivate 9. In preview mode, my project intermittently displays various errors or bugs. I've seen things like red text boxes overlaying slides, buttons appearing that I've not actually placed in slides and masterslides not appearing in the preview mode as well as some other funny things.I'm currently doing edits to existing content that was that was initially created in Captivate 5, so I'm not sure if there's a compatibility issue of some sort when previewing these edits in Captivate 9. These bugs also carries over into the published file. If anyone has experienced something similar and can shear any solutions, that will be much appreciated.  Thanks

You may be running into some corruption issues.

I recommend you create a new blank project in Cp9 that is of the same dimensions as the one you have upgraded from Cp5.

With both projects open in Cp9, copy and paste all slides from the earlier project over to the new blank one.

This will force Captivate to recreate the objects and assign them all new Object Identifiers. If there are any incompatibilities this should help you find them.

Be aware that you're jumping up several versions to get from Cp5 to Cp9 and there have been vast changes in the interim. So upgrading projects over that time-frame usually requires quite significant rework, especially in the area of quizzing slides.
