Question

Captivate 9 capable of capturing applications running on a remote Desktop?

Hello,

first at all sorry for the title.

I am considering of purchasing Adobe Captivate 9 since I've worked with Captivate 8 for a while in high school and especially the slide mode. Quite easy to edit and getting the tutorial done.

I'd need something similar again, but don't have Captivate yet at home. Thus, I am thinking of getting it.

However, this time the case is a bit special. The application is running on a server and only accessible via a Citrix Remote Desktop application. On top of that, there mustn't be any software installed on the computer from which the Citrix Remote Desktop is accessed.

So the case is: Server with application ---Citrix Remotedesktop---> Computer 1 ----normal VPN----> Computer 2 running Captivate.

Is this possible and does it work with the slide mode for editing? Just for simply recording from the screen the price tag is way too high.

Thanks for any useful answer in advance!

Best regards

Korbinian

Is it possible to test it out with the trial version (valid for 30 days)? There are web-based apps that cause problems to capture, the only way to find it out is to test yourself.

Long Story short: I tried the trial-version and it didn't capture the contents of my remote desktop-session.

This basicly makes the software unusable for me, as I'm workin in an environment, where I have to open half my applications via RDP.

I'd be happy for any suggestion on how to fix this.
